Old mining caverns that have long since been abandoned. For good reason, townspeople avoid them, but there's always the occasional quest around the entrance for those brave adventurers.

[That was the last thing flying on Grassvalley's mind before she was left awake here, by herself.]

Mmm...?

[Slowly, she mustered strength into her white-stocked legs, pushing it so that her body was firmly standing.]

Where...am i?

[The pink haired girl looked around for any sort of salvation. She remembered ever seeing this place sometimes ago; torches, brown walls, Golems and other monsters around.]

[...Wait, monster? Her inner mind yelped, and what makes things better is that she possess no weapon by her. Deciding that evading them was the only way, Kanonno gulped as she tried to sneak her best around, hoping no monster would really locked their eyes by her.

However, this didn't last as long as she hoped it would be. By the time when anyone spotted her, it might be she was chased by bunch of fiends, or she was already beaten up and currently at the mercy of the brutal monster.]

[Wow... Big and intimidating gate? Now THIS is a dungeon! Xion arrived (and hoping that Genis was still by his trail), wondering how and where the hell could a Wheat was farmed here? Meh whatever, Xion will just start his search around this lumpy area.

Obviously, he didn't know that a familiar girl was trapped in distress by this very dungeon. Hope she survived when either he, Genis, or both of them noticed Kanonno's existences here.]

[Like how Xion imply, Genis was following his trail.

Hardly, mind you. He possess a much shorter legs than Xion's. So have he panted here since he oughta to sped up due to the gap of the strides.]

Phew.

[With that one exhausted sigh, Genis then will join the search as well. Still, probably sticking around by Xion's ass in case that a monster would appear suddenly.]

[He spotted the poor Genis just behind him, with his face full of those epic fail face.

He might walked a little... i mean a little slower.]

[Genis was probably too busy looking around for wheats to notice that, Xion.

[Okay, so let's ignore the plot bunnies about how we already got deeper into the mines, OK!?

Ahem! A-Anyway, after countless... minutes looking around for A GODDAMNED field of wheat, the two -at last- reached the land they're looking for.

Pick some, Genis! While Xion would patrol the area just in case there's a threat around before helping you out.]

[Oh FINALLY! DAMMIT Wry so deeeep, oh wryyyyyyy.

Genis will enjoy farming for packs of wheats here. Hope Xion did his job to shoo away the monsters well.]

[It was okay-ish for her to play this game of tags with the monster for a while, until this kind of crap happened: Her legs started to get tired. Moreover, the blueness by her feet could get more visible a.k.a she cramped her legs, although she didn't feel it since she barely can feel her legs.

Just like how every tag game, it will comes to an end. Kanonno was crouching by the corner, under the intimidation of monsters, mainly Golems and Killer bees, and special mention to Poltergeists. Mind you, she hated ghost.

Before those thing could approach her more, Kanonno let out a heartbreaking screams. She didn't know what avail could it serves, but that was what the only thing by her ideas now.]

[You know how creepy and dark this cave could gets, especially when you hear a girl's scream inside of it.

...Wait, what?]

What was that!?

[Xion turned his head to the direction of the voice. Leave it to his nature to leave to the direction, not before giving a hi to his younger companion.]

Genis!

[Angel Shot and Devil Shot... The two Radiant guns set by his hand tightly, he ran as fast as he could.]

[It didn't take an elephant's ears to hear that. Genis irked his head as well when the voices was in the air. He also paused his farming and turned to Xion.]

Right!

[He stands up, his kendama by his hand. Forgot the fact that he's tired, he'll run to save the voice's owner.]

[Kanonno was already by a Stone Golem's grasps. Its' two hands were locked with each other, trying to strangle the pink haired girl.]

A-aaah! AAAAAH!!

[Dear Martel, dying would be hurtless, or she thought so. She always hoped to die in peace, not in this one. Oh God, she felt like she's just been hit by a truck, or maybe two.]

[Xion paused his whole brain for a milisecond when he spotted the monster was holding a girl painfully.]

That pink hair... It couldn't be...

[No, that isn't important right now. For now, he just have to rescue her! As fast as his finger could reach the guns' triggers, he clicked it at the direction of the gigantic monster after aimed it carefully to not to hit the somewhat familiar girl. One 'Charge Bullet' and one 'Shining Laser' might be involved in this one.]

[Following Xion's lead, Genis proceeded to backstep a bit, confirming his distance with the monster. Azure-colored Artes circle started to form just below him.]

Drown! Splash!

[When he said so, a column of water beneath the Golem that rises up to wet it up. The girl might get a bucket or two from this, but her safety is more important than this is, right?]

[She didn't know which attacks made the Golem released its' grip, but she's free anyway. And unless her eyes and ears did mistaken her, she knows whose they're belong to... Genis'... and him.

Besides all that, the gravity didn't defy her. Her body started to follow its' rules and headed down to smash the floor, she just hoped it would be as comfy as her pillow back home.]

[Seeing as Genis' spell works, Xion wasted no time to approach the girl's body, which is falling down like a leaves. Letting body take over his mind, he slided down to grab Kanonno's body, just in time, he hoped.

Yeah, as he get a closer look at her... He really recognized that face, though it currently isn't as pretty as she was used to be due to the wounds here and there.]

[Genis knows fully well that his body couldn't move as fast as Xion could, so he decided to do something better that he could only do: rain the monsters with spells as Xion helped Kanonno. See: Insta-cast Aqua Edge spams.]

[Kanonno doesn't really feel the hard ground, instead, it was a gentle arms.]

It's comfy... and warm.

[With all power she could let out, Kanonno let her eyes open widely for a while along with a smile, giving a sign of how she missed him and how happy she is that he's there for her. Before her consciousness could lose, she stretched her arms to caress Xion's face.]

You're...real...

[The next second, her hand dropped from his face, her eyes closed, and her face was aside. Her breath was that of a peaceful faint, not the 'Quick!-you-need-to-go-to-ICU' one.]

[Dear MARTEL MARTEL MARTEL, she might be only resting, but Xion definitely didn't buy that. Cue panic meter raising.]

Kano... KANONNO!

[What to do? What to do? Xion grabbed the petite body of Kanonno tightly, carrying her like a runaway bridal.]

Genis, i'll be going to the guild!

[Sorry Genis, but fainted Kanonno totally invaded his mind. For now, he have to preserves her well-being first. He then run to the entrance, heading to the Van Eltia. Quick... Just... Quick!]

[Genis widened his eyes, this wasn't the deal with the quest. He hold his hand out, trying to reach the brunet.]

H-Hey, wait!

[Though, no avail, for Xion already far. Sigh, then he'll head to grab the wheats by himself and return safely to the Kalim, reporting this things first.]

[Carried away by love with Xion to the guild. Whee~]
